With the rise of the Command Centre kitchen where every aspect of life now culminates, the dining room table has become the centre piece. From family meals, to entertaining, to homework and craft projects, to decisive family conversations (where was your last family holiday planned from?), even businesses are run from them! It is the one piece of furniture that brings a family together. Think of it as the board room table of family life. So picking the right one is really important.
With this in mind I have pulled together my favourite three that are currently on the market.
Navarro Star Dining Table – Barker and Stonehouse
This is a fantastic table with its central star burst of legs. This covers the practical side of no one getting stuck with the leg and it also looks dramatic. If that wasn’t enough it is a real High Street Hero coming in three sizes and starting with an R.R.P of £825.00 for the 200cm x 100cm.
Ramsey Oval Dining Table Reclaimed Pine and Iron – Houseology Collection
I have been hunting out more round and oval tables for my projects. This shape lends itself better to conversation and a feeling of equality for all if there is no head of the table. It’s been great to find more ovals becoming available and I think this fellow from Houseology is a bit of a star. It also rocks a central pedestal so no more leg squish for the poor fellow stuck on the end!!
