Perfect Gifts for Christmas Picked by Smartstyle Interiors – Part 1

I have hunted high and low to put together the Smartstyle Interiors Christmas Gift Guide. Not only did I want to show you beautiful things that would be as delightful to give as they are to receive, I also wanted to show you how your Christmas gift purchases can really help small companies grow. I want to encourage you to buy from these inspirational designers who put their heart and passion into what they do, some of which are also working in a socially conscious way to bring stunning products to our lives while also helping others.

Design On My Doorstep: Love Inc

I feel so lucky to live in Tunbridge Wells where we have access to a great number of design-driven places right on our doorstep here in Kent and across the border in East Sussex. As there are so many shops and boutiques that I love for picking up unique pieces for my clients (or sometimes myself), I thought I’d start sharing some of my favourites with you right here on the blog. Our first stop? Love Inc.

Phoebe’s Fab 3: Indie interiors Favourites

As the owner of an independent business, I know how important it is to support independents who are working hard to share a unique point of view and provide great service to their customers, so I wanted to follow-up last week’s post about my favourite High Street Haunts by sharing three of my favourite indies. These three indie interiors shops do a fantastic job of sourcing beautiful products that will truly stand out in your home and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great new piece of furniture, a statement home accessory, or an unforgettable accent piece.

    High Street Haunts

We are very blessed with the variety of shops we have on the British High Street, and though we’re sure to see change happen to our current retail market following the UK’s exit from the EU, I am delighted that we currently have a number of fantastic places to hunt for fabulous treasures for our homes. As an interior designer, I’m often asked by friends and acquaintances about my favourite places to shop for modern home goods, so today I’m sharing six of my current must-visit shopping destinations. They make my heart flutter and are my go-to places when putting together a design scheme for a client. In other words, they all get the Smartstyle seal of approval!

Lay Your Head Down at Button And Sprung

I was 25 when I bought my first bed. My lovely boyfriend (now my lovely husband) and I had just bought our first flat together and we didn’t have any furniture. The bed was the first thing to arrive in the flat and I felt so grown-up looking at it in our new space because, as you know, buying a bed is a very grown-up thing to do.

Phoebe’s Fab 3: Pick of the Prints

Changing up your artwork is a great way to freshen up your existing design scheme without too much cost or trouble. I particularly like hunting for new prints every year to bring a new feel to a space and though it was difficult to narrow down, here are three of my favourite places to buy great prints that are eye-catching and right on trend.
