  • Designing your Bathroom with relaxation at the heart

What is the bathroom to you? A room you spring through to get clean before either leaping into your day or your bed. But what if this room could be doing more for you? As a designer I often see this as an over-looked space, where more thought is put into the tile selection than the health of the person using the room. I think these rooms could be the key to addressing a couple of health and happiness issues. What if your bathroom was more of a spa? Not just a spa that helped you relax but also helped with your health.

London Design Festival: Love at First Sight

I always think of September as the start to a new year. It feels like a fresh start, especially with the children back at school and everyone moving ahead with all the plans they made over the summer. Closets are filled with new school uniforms and new pencils and pens are packed away in rucksacks that have been empty for weeks. It only seems right, then, that September also brings with it the excited flurry that is the London Design Festival.

    London Design Festival 2015

September is a big month in an interior designer’s calendar as it brings with it The London Design Festival or, as it’s colloquially referenced on Twitter, #LDF15.  LDF stretches over 10 days and is full of interior design trade shows at venues located all over London. It’s a great time to learn, find inspiration, and catch up with colleagues in the interior design world and I thought it might be quite fun to give you a peek into this world and share what The London Design Festival is all about.

    It’s Show Time!

London Design Festival 2014 has landed with design shows scattered across the capital over a two week period, including Tent, 100% Design, Decorex, Design Junction & Focus. Whatever your taste there are products here for you to fall in love with. I attended a constant favourite of mine 100% Design and tried Design Junction for the first time.
